A group of RSAC Dive Leader trainees came together on 27 February to do the BSAC one-day Oxygen Administration skill development course which forms a large part of the Dive Leader qualification. Particularly valuable was being able to use the Club's new QCPR resuscitation manikins where the trainee's basic life support (BLS) performance can be monitored via a phone app.
The QCPR (Quality Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) manikin is a CPR training manikin now improved for multiple feedback options that provide opportunity to focus on learner competency. Measurement, assessment and quality feedback are key factors in developing competency.
As you progress your diver training in the BSAC system learning (and maintaining) comprehensive rescue and life saving skills is central. For everyone.
